The duo
Two friends from university, a programme full of musical styles
Duo FunG consists of the singer Anke Cordes and the pianist Bent Duddek. The two musicians met while studying at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. They quickly discovered a shared love of art song and chanson, and their shared musical passion soon grew into a friendship and finally into a first combo, with which they already performed during their studies.
Neither of them lives in Essen any more: Bent works as a music teacher and choir director near Frankfurt, and Anke has set up as a freelance voice teacher in Bremen.
Despite the great distance, the two never stopped developing new programme ideas and finally founded “Duo FunG” in 2024, bringing their programmes to the stage with a great joy in musical experiment and in the mix of different musical styles and eras.

Both programmes are concert evenings for voice and piano – each about 90 minutes long.
